Fleetwood Cluster Primary Dance Festival

On Thursday July 15th, Fleetwood Sports College organised and hosted a Primary Dance Festival. Over 120 pupils aged 5 - 7 from Charles Saer, Chaucer, Flakefleet, Shakespeare and Larkholme took part. The festival was a culmination of the work done by Faye Mc Clean who has been employed by the Wyre and Fylde School Sport Partnership to teach dance in these schools as an after school activity. The clubs have been well attended as was clearly evident by the numbers of pupils involved in the festival. Approximately 230 spectators turned up to watch the event which was a fantastic success with some wonderful talent on display! Fleetwood Sports College also added some dance to boost the programme and show the youngsters what they could aspire to! The performing arts department provided lights and sound which made a great sense of occassion and the festival an outstanding success. We have already planned the date for next years festival, Weds July 13th! 2011
