The Partnership awards are designed to reward those schools that have positioned Physical Education at the heart of school life, recognising it as an important element in supporting young people to lead a healthy lifestyle. It is the intention that the award will recognise schools that are using PE and Sport to inspire learning and achievement, perhaps by developing competitive or leadership programmes for young people. School staff will be challenged to further improve the Physical Education experience for every young person.
Similar to last year, there are 2 separate categories one for KS 1/2 and one for KS3/4/5. The categories are as follows:
The winning school in each category will receive a £250 equipment voucher and a glass memento. Applications will be judged by an independent body.
The Closing date for nominations is Friday 16th July 2010.
Applicants will be contacted in the autumn term. Presentations will take place at the Partnerships PLT conference on Wednesday 13th October 2010 at Ribby Hall.
