Volunteering is an invaluable experience which enhances social skills, confidence and opportunities whilst giving something back to the community. Volunteering is a rewarding use of time which enhances the volunteer’s life whilst giving other groups such as local sports teams or charities the chance to do more. As recognition for all the hard work delivered by volunteers five of our local volunteers were invited to a celebration of youth hosted by PNE football club and Vinspired the national youth volunteering organisation.
The ceremony saw students from Lytham High school and St Aidan’s CE receive awards for their dedication to their projects. Betsy Seed, Louise Anderson, James Slack, Tim Slater and Sam Smith were all invited to receive awards from Adam Thomas star of Emmerdale and the Lord Mayor of Preston. The work delivered by our volunteers is a credit to themselves, their schools and their families. Well Done to all, you should be proud of your achievements!
