LYG Year 3/4 Gymnastics

On the 10th March Shakespeare Primary School and Ansdell Primary School represented the boroughs of Wyre and Fylde, respectively, at the Spar Lancashire Youth Games Key Steps Gymnastics Finals at Hyndburn Leisure Centre. As well as competing in the event the children got the chance to experience a variety of other gymnastics skills, there was even a bouncy run! Preston Gymnastics Club were on hand to put the children through their paces and finished off the event with a fantastic floor display

Amongst the special guests was 2009 Gymnastics World Champion Beth Tweedle who was on hand to give advice and talk to the children about her experiences. There were a number of individual event winners with Blackpool taking the team event trophy.

Shakespeare and Ansdell did the partnership proud and are already looking to next year’s qualifying rounds.
