Bikeabilty - Coming to your school! - The latest version of cycling road safety has arrived in the Wyre & Fylde partnership with some outstanding feedback from pupil's, head's, PLT's and parents. Bikeability is the cycling proficiency test for the 21st century. It is designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today's roads and is a massive bonus towards the 5 hour offer. The scheme is promoted by Lancashire County Council and is aimed at setting out a National Standard for cycling. The partnership are currently targeting over 600 pupils for the year and have already trained over 100 pupils in this single term alone. Watch this space as the SSCO's will contact your school in the near future if not already. - Michael Hartley (Baines SSCO)
