Motivating pupils to learn is a new resource available to the Wyre and Fylde primary schools. This invaluable resource aims to actively engage all pupils in the learning process and also enables schools to achieve the Government's Public Service Agreement (PSA) target.
Developed by St. Helens, Knowlesy and Preston SSPs this user friendly resource for Primary school teachers, is routed in the belief that PE and sport are powerful tools for the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy.
Written by teachers for teachers. It contains many practical ideas and activities to stimulate learning and is a useful resource for all teachers across the Primary phase. It supports high quality teaching and learning.
Each school in the partnership has received the resource and are now hoping to action its use. John Atkinson of Clifton Primary led a very successful inset on how best to use the resource with pupils. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed getting involved and developing their Literacy and Numeracy whilst being active.
