LSA Technology& Performing Arts College have been successful in securing £10,000 from Awards for All, a government initiative which aims to support local projects. Awards for All England are a simple small grants scheme making awards of between £300 and £10,000. The Awards for All programme aims to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. The four strands of Awards for All focus on:
LSA Technology& Performing Arts College have secured their funding for a fitness suite for pupils, staff and the community. The suite aims to improve users, fitness, motivation and self esteem, with a view to an overall healthier lifestyle.
The funding for the suite has now been spent through The Fitness Warehouse based locally in Preston. The fitness warehouse assisted the bid by creating a detailed plan of the suite and equipment required and have now supplied two treadmills, two cross trainers, a spin bike, a stepper, weights and benches, boxing equipment, two rowing machines, wall mirrors and safety flooring! The fitness suite is now in action and is already inundated with users. Well Done LSA!
