Yr 3/4 Indoor Athletics

Year 3 and 4 pupils from primary schools within the Carr Hill and St Bedes clusters took part in this event on Wednesday 21st October at Warton Sports Centre. This is the first opportunity that pupils from these year groups have had, to experience the indoor track and field events and they did exceptionally well.

A big thank you to all the children that took part, the staff that gave up their time to prepare the children for the event and bring them on the day. As well as the parents and grandparents that came along and offered support. Our thanks also go to the students from St Bedes High School that helped out with the running of each event and did a great job.

All the children gave 100% effort and were a credit to their schools. Our Lady Star of the Sea were the overall winners from the St Bedes cluster and Ribby with Wrea took the honours for the Carr Hill cluster.

We look forward to seeing you all for the Year 5 and 6 event, again at Warton on the afternoon of 2nd December. There will be small school and large school winners, that will then go on to compete in a partnership final in January and with the winners of that event competing in a county final in February, wow, what an opportunity.
